كَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا فِيكُمْ رَسُولاً مِّنكُمْ يَتْلُو عَلَيْكُمْ آيَاتِنَا وَيُزَكِّيكُمْ وَيُعَلِّمُكُمُ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحِكْمَةَ وَيُعَلِّمُكُم مَّا لَمْ تَكُونُواْ تَعْلَمُونَ
2.151. Kama arsalna feekum rasoolan minkum yatloo AAalaykum ayatina wayuzakkeekum wayuAAallimukumu alkitaba waalhikmata wayuAAallimukum ma lam takoonoo taAAlamoona
2.151. C’est ainsi que Nous vous avons envoyé un Prophète choisi parmi vous, qui vous récite Nos versets, vous purifie, vous apprend le Livre et la Sagesse et vous enseigne ce que vous ignoriez.
2.151 . Even as We have sent unto you a messenger from among you , who reciteth unto you Our revelations and causeth you to grow , and teacheth you the Scripture and wisdom , and teacheth you that which ye knew not . '

فَاذْكُرُونِي أَذْكُرْكُمْ وَاشْكُرُواْ لِي وَلاَ تَكْفُرُونِ
2.152. Faothkuroonee athkurkum waoshkuroo lee wala takfurooni
2.152. Souvenez-vous de Moi, Je me souviendrai de vous ! Soyez reconnaissants envers Moi ! Ne soyez pas ingrats !
2.152 . Therefore remember Me , I will remember you . Give thanks to Me , and reject not Me .

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ اسْتَعِينُواْ بِالصَّبْرِ وَالصَّلاَةِ إِنَّ اللّهَ مَعَ الصَّابِرِينَ
2.153. Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo istaAAeenoo bialssabri waalssalati inna Allaha maAAa alssabireena
2.153. ش croyants ! Cherchez du réconfort dans la patience et la salât ! Dieu est, en vérité, avec ceux qui savent s’armer de patience.
2.153 . O ye who believe! Seek help in steadfastness , and prayer . Lo! Allah is with the steadfast .

وَلاَ تَقُولُواْ لِمَنْ يُقْتَلُ فِي سَبيلِ اللّهِ أَمْوَاتٌ بَلْ أَحْيَاء وَلَكِن لاَّ تَشْعُرُونَ
2.154. Wala taqooloo liman yuqtalu fee sabeeli Allahi amwatun bal ahyaon walakin la tashAAuroona
2.154. Ne dites pas de ceux qui sont tombés au service de Dieu qu’ils sont morts, car ils sont bien vivants, mais vous n’en avez pas conscience.
2.154 . And call not those who are slain in the way of Allah "dead . " Nay , they are living , only ye perceive not .

وَلَنَبْلُوَنَّكُمْ بِشَيْءٍ مِّنَ الْخَوفْ وَالْجُوعِ وَنَقْصٍ مِّنَ الأَمَوَالِ وَالأنفُسِ وَالثَّمَرَاتِ وَبَشِّرِ الصَّابِرِينَ
2.155. Walanabluwannakum bishay-in mina alkhawfi waaljooAAi wanaqsin mina al-amwali waal-anfusi waalththamarati wabashshiri alssabireena
2.155. Certes, Nous vous soumettrons à quelques épreuves en vous exposant de temps à autre à la peur et à la faim, en vous faisant endurer quelques pertes dans vos biens, dans vos personnes et dans vos récoltes. Mais tu Prophète peux annoncer une heureuse issue à ceux qui souffrent avec patience ,
2.155 . And surely We shall try you with something of fear and hunger , and loss of wealth and lives and crops ; but give glad tidings to the steadfast ,

الَّذِينَ إِذَا أَصَابَتْهُم مُّصِيبَةٌ قَالُواْ إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعونَ
2.156. Allatheena itha asabat-hum museebatun qaloo inna lillahi wa-inna ilayhi rajiAAoona
2.156. à ceux qui, lorsqu’un malheur les touche, disent : «Nous sommes à Dieu et c’est à Lui que nous ferons retour !»
2.156 . Who say , when a misfortune striketh them : Lo! we are Allah ' s and Lo! unto Him we are returning .

أُولَـئِكَ عَلَيْهِمْ صَلَوَاتٌ مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ وَرَحْمَةٌ وَأُولَـئِكَ هُمُ الْمُهْتَدُونَ
2.157. Ola-ika AAalayhim salawatun min rabbihim warahmatun waola-ika humu almuhtadoona
2.157. C’est sur ceux-là que Dieu étendra Sa bénédiction et Sa miséricorde, et ce sont ceux-là qui sont dans le droit chemin.
2.157 . Such are they on whom are blessings from their Lord , and mercy . Such are the rightly guided .

إِنَّ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةَ مِن شَعَآئِرِ اللّهِ فَمَنْ حَجَّ الْبَيْتَ أَوِ اعْتَمَرَ فَلاَ جُنَاحَ عَلَيْهِ أَن يَطَّوَّفَ بِهِمَا وَمَن تَطَوَّعَ خَيْراً فَإِنَّ اللّهَ شَاكِرٌ عَلِيمٌ
2.158. Inna alssafa waalmarwata min shaAAa-iri Allahi faman hajja albayta awi iAAtamara fala junaha AAalayhi an yattawwafa bihima waman tatawwaAAa khayran fa-inna Allaha shakirun AAaleemun
2.158. La course entre as-Safâ et al-Marwâ fait partie des rites prescrits par Dieu. Celui qui accomplit le hajj pèlerinage à La Mecque ou seulement la `umra simple visite peut sans inconvénient effectuer cette course. Dieu saura gré à quiconque se porte volontaire pour accomplir une œuvre pie, car Il sait tout.
2.158 . Lo! ( the mountains ) Al-Safa and Al-Marwah are among the indications of Allah . It is therefore no sin for him who is on pilgrimage to the House ( of God ) or visiteth it , to go around them ( as the pagan custom is ) . And he who doeth good of his own accord ( for him ) , Lo! Allah is Responsive , Aware .

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَكْتُمُونَ مَا أَنزَلْنَا مِنَ الْبَيِّنَاتِ وَالْهُدَى مِن بَعْدِ مَا بَيَّنَّاهُ لِلنَّاسِ فِي الْكِتَابِ أُولَـئِكَ يَلعَنُهُمُ اللّهُ وَيَلْعَنُهُمُ اللَّاعِنُونَ
2.159. Inna allatheena yaktumoona ma anzalna mina albayyinati waalhuda min baAAdi ma bayyannahu lilnnasi fee alkitabi ola-ika yalAAanuhumu Allahu wayalAAanuhumu allaAAinoona
2.159. Ceux qui dissimulent les signes évidents et la bonne direction que Nous avons clairement révélés dans le Livre, ceux-là seront maudits de Dieu et de tous ceux qui peuvent les maudire,
2.159 . Those who hide the proofs and the guidance which We revealed , after We had made it clear in the Scripture : such are accursed of Allah and accursed of those who have the power to curse .

إِلاَّ الَّذِينَ تَابُواْ وَأَصْلَحُواْ وَبَيَّنُواْ فَأُوْلَـئِكَ أَتُوبُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَأَنَا التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ
2.160. Illa allatheena taboo waaslahoo wabayyanoo faola-ika atoobu AAalayhim waana alttawwabu alrraheemu
2.160. à l’exception de ceux qui se repentent, s’amendent, divulguent la vérité. ہ ceux-là J’accorderai Mon pardon, car Je suis Plein de clémence et de compassion.
2.160 . Except such of them as repent and amend and make manifest ( the truth ) . These it is toward whom I relent . I am the Relenting , the Merciful .

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَمَاتُوا وَهُمْ كُفَّارٌ أُولَئِكَ عَلَيْهِمْ لَعْنَةُ اللّهِ وَالْمَلآئِكَةِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ
2.161. Inna allatheena kafaroo wamatoo wahum kuffarun ola-ika AAalayhim laAAnatu Allahi waalmala-ikati waalnnasi ajmaAAeena
2.161. Les négateurs qui vivent et meurent en tant que tels encourront à la fois la malédiction de Dieu, celle des anges et celle de tous les hommes.
2.161 . Lo! those who disbelieve , and die while they are disbelievers ; on them is the curse of Allah and of angels and of men combined .

خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا لاَ يُخَفَّفُ عَنْهُمُ الْعَذَابُ وَلاَ هُمْ يُنظَرُونَ
2.162. Khalideena feeha la yukhaffafu AAanhumu alAAathabu wala hum yuntharoona
2.162. Et cette malédiction les poursuivra éternellement, sans que leurs tourments puissent jamais connaître ni répit ni allégement.
2.162 . They ever dwell therein . The doom will not be lightened for them , neither will they be reprieved .

وَإِلَـهُكُمْ إِلَهٌ وَاحِدٌ لاَّ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ الرَّحْمَنُ الرَّحِيمُ
2.163. Wa-ilahukum ilahun wahidun la ilaha illa huwa alrrahmanu alrraheemu
2.163. Votre Dieu est Unique. Il n’y a d’autre divinité que Lui. Il est le Dieu de la bonté et de la miséricorde.
2.163 . Your God is One God ; there is no God save Him , the Beneficent , the Merciful .

إِنَّ فِي خَلْقِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَاخْتِلاَفِ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ وَالْفُلْكِ الَّتِي تَجْرِي فِي الْبَحْرِ بِمَا يَنفَعُ النَّاسَ وَمَا أَنزَلَ اللّهُ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مِن مَّاء فَأَحْيَا بِهِ الأرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا وَبَثَّ فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ دَآبَّةٍ وَتَصْرِيفِ الرِّيَاحِ وَالسَّحَابِ الْمُسَخِّرِ بَيْنَ السَّمَاء وَالأَرْضِ لآيَاتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَعْقِلُونَ
2.164. Inna fee khalqi alssamawati waal-ardi waikhtilafi allayli waalnnahari waalfulki allatee tajree fee albahri bima yanfaAAu alnnasa wama anzala Allahu mina alssama-i min ma-in faahya bihi al-arda baAAda mawtiha wabaththa feeha min kulli dabbatin watasreefi alrriyahi waalssahabi almusakhkhari bayna alssama-i waal-ardi laayatin liqawmin yaAAqiloona
2.164. Dans la création des Cieux et de la Terre, dans l’alternance de la nuit et du jour, dans les vaisseaux qui sillonnent la mer, chargés de tout ce qui peut être utile aux hommes , dans l’eau que Dieu précipite du ciel pour vivifier la terre, après sa mort, et dans laquelle tant d’êtres vivants pullulent , dans le régime des vents et dans les nuages astreints à évoluer entre ciel et terre , dans tout cela n’y a-t-il pas autant de signes éclatants pour ceux qui savent réfléchir?
2.164 . Lo! in the creation of the heavens and the earth , and the difference of night and day , and the ships which run upon the sea with that which is of use to men , and the water which Allah sendeth down from the sky , thereby reviving the earth after its death , and dispersing all kinds of beasts therein , and ( in ) the ordinance of the winds , and the clouds obedient between heaven and earth : are signs ( of Allah ' s sovereignty ) for people who have sense .

وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَن يَتَّخِذُ مِن دُونِ اللّهِ أَندَاداً يُحِبُّونَهُمْ كَحُبِّ اللّهِ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ أَشَدُّ حُبّاً لِّلّهِ وَلَوْ يَرَى الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ إِذْ يَرَوْنَ الْعَذَابَ أَنَّ الْقُوَّةَ لِلّهِ جَمِيعاً وَأَنَّ اللّهَ شَدِيدُ الْعَذَابِ
2.165. Wamina alnnasi man yattakhithu min dooni Allahi andadan yuhibboonahum kahubbi Allahi waallatheena amanoo ashaddu hubban lillahi walaw yara allatheena thalamoo ith yarawna alAAathaba anna alquwwata lillahi jameeAAan waanna Allaha shadeedu alAAathabi
2.165. Il est des hommes qui prennent en dehors de Dieu des associés qu’ils se mettent à aimer à l’égal de Dieu Lui-même ! Mais ce sont les croyants qui vouent à Dieu le plus grand amour. Ah ! Si les injustes pouvaient entrevoir le supplice qui les attend, ils verraient alors que la puissance entière appartient à Dieu seul et que Dieu, quand Il sévit, le fait toujours avec rigueur.
2.165 . Yet of mankind are some who take unto themselves objects of worship which they set as ) rivals to Allah , loving them with a love like ( that which is the due ) of Allah ( only ) Those who believe are stauncher in their love for Allah , that those who do evil had but known , ( on the day ) when they behold the doom , that power belongeth wholly to Allah , and that Allah is severe in punishment!

إِذْ تَبَرَّأَ الَّذِينَ اتُّبِعُواْ مِنَ الَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُواْ وَرَأَوُاْ الْعَذَابَ وَتَقَطَّعَتْ بِهِمُ الأَسْبَابُ
2.166. Ith tabarraa allatheena ittubiAAoo mina allatheena ittabaAAoo waraawoo alAAathaba wataqattaAAat bihimu al-asbabu
2.166. Et ce jour-là, à la vue du supplice, les meneurs renieront ceux qui les auront suivis, et toute attache sera rompue entre eux,
2.166 . ( On the day ) when those who were followed disown those who followed ( them ) , and they behold the doom , and all their aims collapse with them .

وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُواْ لَوْ أَنَّ لَنَا كَرَّةً فَنَتَبَرَّأَ مِنْهُمْ كَمَا تَبَرَّؤُواْ مِنَّا كَذَلِكَ يُرِيهِمُ اللّهُ أَعْمَالَهُمْ حَسَرَاتٍ عَلَيْهِمْ وَمَا هُم بِخَارِجِينَ مِنَ النَّارِ
2.167. Waqala allatheena ittabaAAoo law anna lana karratan fanatabarraa minhum kama tabarraoo minna kathalika yureehimu Allahu aAAmalahum hasaratin AAalayhim wama hum bikharijeena mina alnnari
2.167. alors que leurs disciples s’écrieront à leur tour : «Ah ! S’il nous était possible de retourner sur Terre, nous désavouerions nos meneurs, comme ils nous ont désavoués.» Et c’est ainsi que Dieu les mettra en face de leurs œuvres, sans que leurs regrets les mettent pour autant à l’abri de l’Enfer.
2.167 . And those who were but followers will say : If a return were possible for us , we would disown them even as they have disowned us . Thus will Allah show them their own deeds as anguish for them , and they will not emerge from the Fire .

يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ كُلُواْ مِمَّا فِي الأَرْضِ حَلاَلاً طَيِّباً وَلاَ تَتَّبِعُواْ خُطُوَاتِ الشَّيْطَانِ إِنَّهُ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ مُّبِينٌ
2.168. Ya ayyuha alnnasu kuloo mimma fee al-ardi halalan tayyiban wala tattabiAAoo khutuwati alshshaytani innahu lakum AAaduwwun mubeenun
2.168. ش hommes ! Mangez de ce que la terre vous offre de licite et d’agréable ! Ne marchez pas sur les traces de Satan qui est votre ennemi mortel !
2.168 . O mankind! Eat of that which is lawful and wholesome in the earth , and follow not the footsteps of the devil . Lo! he is an open enemy for you .

إِنَّمَا يَأْمُرُكُمْ بِالسُّوءِ وَالْفَحْشَاء وَأَن تَقُولُواْ عَلَى اللّهِ مَا لاَ تَعْلَمُونَ
2.169. Innama ya/murukum bialssoo-i waalfahsha-i waan taqooloo AAala Allahi ma la taAAlamoona
2.169. Il ne vous suggère que le mal et les turpitudes , il vous incite à tenir sur Dieu des propos dont vous ne saisissez même pas le sens.
2.169 . He enjoineth upon you only the evil and the foul , and that ye should tell concerning Allah that which ye know not .

وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ اتَّبِعُوا مَا أَنزَلَ اللّهُ قَالُواْ بَلْ نَتَّبِعُ مَا أَلْفَيْنَا عَلَيْهِ آبَاءنَا أَوَلَوْ كَانَ آبَاؤُهُمْ لاَ يَعْقِلُونَ شَيْئاً وَلاَ يَهْتَدُونَ
2.170. Wa-itha qeela lahumu ittabiAAoo ma anzala Allahu qaloo bal nattabiAAu ma alfayna AAalayhi abaana awa law kana abaohum la yaAAqiloona shay-an wala yahtadoona
2.170. Lorsqu’on dit aux infidèles : «Conformez-vous à ce que Dieu a révélé !», ils rétorquent : «Non ! Nous devons plutôt nous conformer à ce que nous ont légué nos ancêtres !» Eh, quoi ! Les suivraient-ils même s’ils manquaient de discernement, même s’ils étaient dans l’erreur?
2.170 . And when it is said unto them : Follow that which Allah hath revealed , they say : We follow that wherein we found our fathers . What! Even though their fathers were wholly unintelligent and had no guidance?

وَمَثَلُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ كَمَثَلِ الَّذِي يَنْعِقُ بِمَا لاَ يَسْمَعُ إِلاَّ دُعَاء وَنِدَاء صُمٌّ بُكْمٌ عُمْيٌ فَهُمْ لاَ يَعْقِلُونَ
2.171. Wamathalu allatheena kafaroo kamathali allathee yanAAiqu bima la yasmaAAu illa duAAaan wanidaan summun bukmun AAumyun fahum la yaAAqiloona
2.171. Ces infidèles font songer à des animaux qui n’entendent que les sons et les cris des appels confus qu’on leur lance, et qui, sourds, muets et aveugles, sont incapables d’en saisir le sens.
2.171 . The likeness of those who disbelieve ( in relation to the messenger ) is as the likeness of one who calleth unto that which heareth naught except a shout and cry . Deaf , dumb , blind , therefore they have no sense .

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ كُلُواْ مِن طَيِّبَاتِ مَا رَزَقْنَاكُمْ وَاشْكُرُواْ لِلّهِ إِن كُنتُمْ إِيَّاهُ تَعْبُدُونَ
2.172. Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo kuloo min tayyibati ma razaqnakum waoshkuroo lillahi in kuntum iyyahu taAAbudoona
2.172. ش vous qui croyez ! Mangez de ces bonnes choses dont Nous vous avons gratifiés et rendez grâce au Seigneur, si c’est vraiment Lui que vous adorez !
2.172 . O ye who believe! Eat of the good things wherewith We have provided you , and render thanks to Allah if it is ( indeed ) He whom ye worship .

إِنَّمَا حَرَّمَ عَلَيْكُمُ الْمَيْتَةَ وَالدَّمَ وَلَحْمَ الْخِنزِيرِ وَمَا أُهِلَّ بِهِ لِغَيْرِ اللّهِ فَمَنِ اضْطُرَّ غَيْرَ بَاغٍ وَلاَ عَادٍ فَلا إِثْمَ عَلَيْهِ إِنَّ اللّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
2.173. Innama harrama AAalaykumu almaytata waalddama walahma alkhinzeeri wama ohilla bihi lighayri Allahi famani idturra ghayra baghin wala AAadin fala ithma AAalayhi inna Allaha ghafoorun raheemun
2.173. Il vous interdit seulement de consommer la bête morte, le sang, la viande de porc et celle de tout autre animal sur lequel on aura invoqué un autre nom que Celui de Dieu. Cependant, si on se trouve contraint d’en consommer par nécessité, et non par insoumission ni désinvolture, on ne commet aucun péché, car Dieu est Clément et Miséricordieux.
2.173 . He hath forbidden you only carrion , and blood , and swineflesh , and that which hath been immolated to ( the name of ) any other than Allah . But he who is driven by necessity , neither craving nor transgressing , it is no sin for him . Lo! Allah is Forgiving , Merciful .

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَكْتُمُونَ مَا أَنزَلَ اللّهُ مِنَ الْكِتَابِ وَيَشْتَرُونَ بِهِ ثَمَناً قَلِيلاً أُولَـئِكَ مَا يَأْكُلُونَ فِي بُطُونِهِمْ إِلاَّ النَّارَ وَلاَ يُكَلِّمُهُمُ اللّهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَلاَ يُزَكِّيهِمْ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ
2.174. Inna allatheena yaktumoona ma anzala Allahu mina alkitabi wayashtaroona bihi thamanan qaleelan ola-ika ma ya/kuloona fee butoonihim illa alnnara wala yukallimuhumu Allahu yawma alqiyamati wala yuzakkeehim walahum AAathabun aleemun
2.174. Ceux qui dissimulent ce que Dieu a révélé du Livre et qui le troquent à vil prix, c’est comme s’ils remplissaient de feu leurs entrailles. Dieu ne leur adressera pas la parole le Jour du Jugement dernier et ne leur accordera pas Son pardon , mais un châtiment douloureux leur sera infligé.
2.174 . Lo! those who hide aught of the Scripture which Allah hath revealed , and purchase a small gain therewith , they eat into their bellies nothing else than fire . Allah will not speak to them on the Day of Resurrection , nor will He make them grow . Theirs will be a painful doom .

أُولَـئِكَ الَّذِينَ اشْتَرَوُاْ الضَّلاَلَةَ بِالْهُدَى وَالْعَذَابَ بِالْمَغْفِرَةِ فَمَا أَصْبَرَهُمْ عَلَى النَّارِ
2.175. Ola-ika allatheena ishtarawoo alddalalata bialhuda waalAAathaba bialmaghfirati fama asbarahum AAala alnnari
2.175. Voilà ceux qui échangent la Vérité contre l’erreur et qui troquent le pardon de Dieu contre le châtiment de l’Enfer ! Et quelle endurance il leur faudra pour supporter les affres de la Géhenne !
2.175 . Those are they who purchase error at the price of guidance , and torment at the price of pardon . How constant are they in their strife to reach the Fire!

ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّ اللّهَ نَزَّلَ الْكِتَابَ بِالْحَقِّ وَإِنَّ الَّذِينَ اخْتَلَفُواْ فِي الْكِتَابِ لَفِي شِقَاقٍ بَعِيدٍ
2.176. Thalika bi-anna Allaha nazzala alkitaba bialhaqqi wa-inna allatheena ikhtalafoo fee alkitabi lafee shiqaqin baAAeedin
2.176. Il en est ainsi parce que Dieu a révélé le Livre en tant que Message de vérité, et que ceux qui se livrent à des controverses à son sujet s’engagent dans une profonde divergence.
2.176 . That is because Allah hath revealed the Scripture with the truth . Lo! those who find ( a cause of ) disagreement in the Scripture are in open schism .

لَّيْسَ الْبِرَّ أَن تُوَلُّواْ وُجُوهَكُمْ قِبَلَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ وَلَـكِنَّ الْبِرَّ مَنْ آمَنَ بِاللّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ وَالْمَلآئِكَةِ وَالْكِتَابِ وَالنَّبِيِّينَ وَآتَى الْمَالَ عَلَى حُبِّهِ ذَوِي الْقُرْبَى وَالْيَتَامَى وَالْمَسَاكِينَ وَابْنَ السَّبِيلِ وَالسَّآئِلِينَ وَفِي الرِّقَابِ وَأَقَامَ الصَّلاةَ وَآتَى الزَّكَاةَ وَالْمُوفُونَ بِعَهْدِهِمْ إِذَا عَاهَدُواْ وَالصَّابِرِينَ فِي الْبَأْسَاء والضَّرَّاء وَحِينَ الْبَأْسِ أُولَـئِكَ الَّذِينَ صَدَقُوا وَأُولَـئِكَ هُمُ الْمُتَّقُونَ
2.177. Laysa albirra an tuwalloo wujoohakum qibala almashriqi waalmaghribi walakinna albirra man amana biAllahi waalyawmi al-akhiri waalmala-ikati waalkitabi waalnnabiyyeena waata almala AAala hubbihi thawee alqurba waalyatama waalmasakeena waibna alssabeeli waalssa-ileena wafee alrriqabi waaqama alssalata waata alzzakata waalmoofoona biAAahdihim itha AAahadoo waalssabireena fee alba/sa-i waalddarra-i waheena alba/si ola-ika allatheena sadaqoo waola-ika humu almuttaqoona
2.177. La piété ne consiste pas à tourner sa face du côté de l’Orient ou de l’Occident , la piété, c’est croire en Dieu, au Jugement dernier, aux anges, aux Livres et aux prophètes , la piété, c’est donner de son bien – quelque attachement qu’on lui porte – aux proches, aux orphelins, aux indigents, aux voyageurs et aux mendiants , la piété, c’est aussi racheter les captifs, accomplir la salât, s’acquitter de la zakât, demeurer fidèle à ses engagements, se montrer patient dans l’adversité, dans le malheur et face au péril. Telles sont les vertus qui caractérisent les croyants pieux et sincères !
2.177 . It is not righteousness that ye turn your faces to the East and the West ; but righteous is he who believeth in Allah and the Last Day and the angels and the Scripture and the Prophets ; and giveth his wealth , for love of Him , to kinsfolk and to orphans and the needy and the wayfarer and to those who ask , and to set slaves free ; and observeth proper worship and payeth the poor due . And those who keep their treaty when they make one , and the patient in tribulation and adversity and time of stress . Such are they who are sincere . Such are the God fearing .

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الْقِصَاصُ فِي الْقَتْلَى الْحُرُّ بِالْحُرِّ وَالْعَبْدُ بِالْعَبْدِ وَالأُنثَى بِالأُنثَى فَمَنْ عُفِيَ لَهُ مِنْ أَخِيهِ شَيْءٌ فَاتِّبَاعٌ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَأَدَاء إِلَيْهِ بِإِحْسَانٍ ذَلِكَ تَخْفِيفٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ وَرَحْمَةٌ فَمَنِ اعْتَدَى بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ فَلَهُ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ
2.178. Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo kutiba AAalaykumu alqisasu fee alqatla alhurru bialhurri waalAAabdu bialAAabdi waalontha bialontha faman AAufiya lahu min akheehi shay-on faittibaAAun bialmaAAroofi waadaon ilayhi bi-ihsanin thalika takhfeefun min rabbikum warahmatun famani iAAtada baAAda thalika falahu AAathabun aleemun
2.178. ش vous qui croyez ! La loi du talion vous est prescrite en matière de meurtre : homme libre pour homme libre, esclave pour esclave, femme pour femme. Si l’ayant droit consent une remise de cette peine au meurtrier, ce dernier sera poursuivi modérément et il devra s’acquitter du prix du sang avec empressement. C’est là une mesure d’allégement et de miséricorde pour vous de la part de votre Seigneur. Mais quiconque transgresse, par la suite, ce compromis sera sévèrement sanctionné.
2.178 . O ye who believe! Retaliation is prescribed for you in the matter of the murdered ; the freeman for the freeman , and the slave for the slave , and the female for the female . And for him who is forgiven somewhat by his ( injured ) brother , prosecution according to usage and payment unto him in kindness . This is an alleviation and a mercy from your Lord . He who transgresseth after this will have a painful doom .

وَلَكُمْ فِي الْقِصَاصِ حَيَاةٌ يَاْ أُولِيْ الأَلْبَابِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ
2.179. Walakum fee alqisasi hayatun ya olee al-albabi laAAallakum tattaqoona
2.179. La loi du talion constitue pour vous une garantie de vie, ô gens doués d’intelligence. Peut-être finirez-vous ainsi par craindre Dieu.
2.179 . And there is life for you in retaliation , O men of understanding , that ye may ward off ( evil ) .

كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذَا حَضَرَ أَحَدَكُمُ الْمَوْتُ إِن تَرَكَ خَيْراً الْوَصِيَّةُ لِلْوَالِدَيْنِ وَالأقْرَبِينَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ حَقّاً عَلَى الْمُتَّقِينَ
2.180. Kutiba AAalaykum itha hadara ahadakumu almawtu in taraka khayran alwasiyyatu lilwalidayni waal-aqrabeena bialmaAAroofi haqqan AAala almuttaqeena
2.180. Il vous est prescrit, lorsque l’un d’entre vous est sur le point de mourir en laissant quelques biens, de faire un testament en faveur de ses père et mère et de ses parents les plus proches, suivant l’usage établi. C’est un devoir pour ceux qui craignent le Seigneur.
2.180 . It is prescribed for you , when one of you approacheth death , if he leave wealth , that he bequeath unto parents and near relatives in kindness . ( This is ) a duty for all those who ward off ( evil ) .

وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُ اتَّقِ اللّهَ أَخَذَتْهُ الْعِزَّةُ بِالإِثْمِ فَحَسْبُهُ جَهَنَّمُ وَلَبِئْسَ الْمِهَادُ
2.181. Faman baddalahu baAAda ma samiAAahu fa-innama ithmuhu AAala allatheena yubaddiloonahu inna Allaha sameeAAun AAaleemun
2.181. Ceux qui dénaturent les dispositions d’un testament, après en avoir pris connaissance, commettent un délit dont ils sont seuls à supporter les conséquences, car Dieu sait tout et entend tout.
2.181 . And whoso changeth ( the will ) after he hath heard it the sin thereof is only upon those who change it . Lo! Allah is Hearer , Knower .

فَمَن بَدَّلَهُ بَعْدَ مَا سَمِعَهُ فَإِنَّمَا إِثْمُهُ عَلَى الَّذِينَ يُبَدِّلُونَهُ إِنَّ اللّهَ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ
2.182. Faman khafa min moosin janafan aw ithman faaslaha baynahum fala ithma AAalayhi inna Allaha ghafoorun raheemun
2.182. Celui qui, craignant une partialité ou une illégalité de la part du testateur, fait accepter un compromis par les parties intéressées ne commet aucun péché, car Dieu est Clément et Miséricordieux.
2.182 . But he who feareth from a testator some unjust or sinful clause , and maketh peace between the parties , ( it shall be ) no sin for him . Lo! Allah is Forgiving , Merciful .

فَمَنْ خَافَ مِن مُّوصٍ جَنَفاً أَوْ إِثْماً فَأَصْلَحَ بَيْنَهُمْ فَلاَ إِثْمَ عَلَيْهِ إِنَّ اللّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
2.183. Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo kutiba AAalaykumu alssiyamu kama kutiba AAala allatheena min qablikum laAAallakum tattaqoona
2.183. ش croyants ! Le jeûne vous est prescrit comme il a été prescrit aux peuples qui vous ont précédés, afin que vous manifestiez votre piété.
2.183 . O ye who believe! Fasting is prescribed for you , even as it was prescribed for those before you , that ye may ward off evil ) ;

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الصِّيَامُ كَمَا كُتِبَ عَلَى الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ
2.184. Ayyaman maAAdoodatin faman kana minkum mareedan aw AAala safarin faAAiddatun min ayyamin okhara waAAala allatheena yuteeqoonahu fidyatun taAAamu miskeenin faman tatawwaAAa khayran fahuwa khayrun lahu waan tasoomoo khayrun lakum in kuntum taAAlamoona
2.184. Ce jeûne devra être observé pendant un nombre de jours bien déterminé. Celui d’entre vous qui, malade ou en voyage, aura été empêché de l’observer devra jeûner plus tard un nombre de jours équivalant à celui des jours de rupture. Mais ceux qui ne peuvent le supporter qu’avec grande difficulté devront assumer, à titre de compensation, la nourriture d’un pauvre pour chaque jour de jeûne non observé. Le mérite de celui qui en nourrira davantage ne sera que plus grand. Mais savez-vous qu’il est préférable pour vous de jeûner?
2.184 . ( Fast ) a certain number of days ; and ( for ) him who is sick among you , or on a journey , ( the same ) number of other days ; and for those who can afford it there is a ransom : the feeding of a man in need . But whoso doeth good of his own accord , it is better for him : and that ye fast is better for you if ye did but know

أَيَّاماً مَّعْدُودَاتٍ فَمَن كَانَ مِنكُم مَّرِيضاً أَوْ عَلَى سَفَرٍ فَعِدَّةٌ مِّنْ أَيَّامٍ أُخَرَ وَعَلَى الَّذِينَ يُطِيقُونَهُ فِدْيَةٌ طَعَامُ مِسْكِينٍ فَمَن تَطَوَّعَ خَيْراً فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَّهُ وَأَن تَصُومُواْ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ
2.185. Shahru ramadana allathee onzila feehi alqur-anu hudan lilnnasi wabayyinatin mina alhuda waalfurqani faman shahida minkumu alshshahra falyasumhu waman kana mareedan aw AAala safarin faAAiddatun min ayyamin okhara yureedu Allahu bikumu alyusra wala yureedu bikumu alAAusra walitukmiloo alAAiddata walitukabbiroo Allaha AAala ma hadakum walaAAallakum tashkuroona
2.185. Le mois de Ramadan est celui au cours duquel le Coran a été révélé pour guider les hommes dans la bonne direction et leur permettre de distinguer la Vérité de l’erreur. Quiconque parmi vous aura pris connaissance de ce mois devra commencer le jeûne. Celui d’entre vous qui, malade ou en voyage, aura été empêché de le faire devra jeûner plus tard un nombre de jours égal à celui des jours de jeûne non observés. Dieu tient ainsi à vous faciliter l’accomplissement de vos devoirs religieux et non à vous le rendre difficile. Achevez donc la période du jeûne et louez Dieu pour vous avoir guidés, afin de Lui prouver votre reconnaissance.
2.185 . The month of Ramadan in which was revealed the Quran , a guidance for mankind , and clear proofs of the guidance , and the Criterion ( of right and wrong ) . And whosoever of you is present , let him fast the month , and whosoever of you is sick or on a journey , ( let him fast the same ) number of other days . Allah desireth for you ease ; He desireth not hardship for you ; and ( He desireth ) that ye should complete the period , and that ye should magnify Allah for having guided you , and that peradventure ye may be thankful .

شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ الَّذِيَ أُنزِلَ فِيهِ الْقُرْآنُ هُدًى لِّلنَّاسِ وَبَيِّنَاتٍ مِّنَ الْهُدَى وَالْفُرْقَانِ فَمَن شَهِدَ مِنكُمُ الشَّهْرَ فَلْيَصُمْهُ وَمَن كَانَ مَرِيضاً أَوْ عَلَى سَفَرٍ فَعِدَّةٌ مِّنْ أَيَّامٍ أُخَرَ يُرِيدُ اللّهُ بِكُمُ الْيُسْرَ وَلاَ يُرِيدُ بِكُمُ الْعُسْرَ وَلِتُكْمِلُواْ الْعِدَّةَ وَلِتُكَبِّرُواْ اللّهَ عَلَى مَا هَدَاكُمْ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ
2.186. Wa-itha saalaka AAibadee AAannee fa-innee qareebun ojeebu daAAwata alddaAAi itha daAAani falyastajeeboo lee walyu/minoo bee laAAallahum yarshudoona
2.186. Si Mes serviteurs t’interrogent à Mon sujet, qu’ils sachent que Je suis tout près d’eux, toujours disposé à exaucer les vœux de celui qui M’invoque. Qu’ils répondent donc à Mon appel et qu’ils aient foi en Moi, afin qu’ils soient guidés vers la Voie du salut.
2.186 . And when My servant question thee concerning Me , then surely I am nigh . I answer the prayer of the suppliant when he crieth unto Me . So let them bear My call and let them trust in Me , in order that they may be led aright .

وَإِذَا سَأَلَكَ عِبَادِي عَنِّي فَإِنِّي قَرِيبٌ أُجِيبُ دَعْوَةَ الدَّاعِ إِذَا دَعَانِ فَلْيَسْتَجِيبُواْ لِي وَلْيُؤْمِنُواْ بِي لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْشُدُونَ
2.187. Ohilla lakum laylata alssiyami alrrafathu ila nisa-ikum hunna libasun lakum waantum libasun lahunna AAalima Allahu annakum kuntum takhtanoona anfusakum fataba AAalaykum waAAafa AAankum faal-ana bashiroohunna waibtaghoo ma kataba Allahu lakum wakuloo waishraboo hatta yatabayyana lakumu alkhaytu al-abyadu mina alkhayti al-aswadi mina alfajri thumma atimmoo alssiyama ila allayli wala tubashiroohunna waantum AAakifoona fee almasajidi tilka hudoodu Allahi fala taqrabooha kathalika yubayyinu Allahu ayatihi lilnnasi laAAallahum yattaqoona
2.187. Il vous est permis, la nuit qui suit une journée de jeûne, d’avoir des rapports avec vos épouses, qui sont un vêtement pour vous autant que vous l’êtes pour elles. Dieu sait que vous vous êtes clandestinement livrés à de tels rapports , mais Il ne vous en tient pas rigueur et vous accorde Son pardon. Désormais, vous pouvez cohabiter avec vos femmes en vous tenant à ce que Dieu vous prescrit. Mangez et buvez jusqu’au moment où vous pourrez distinguer un fil blanc d’un fil noir, à la pointe de l’aube. ہ partir de cet instant, observez une abstinence totale jusqu’à la tombée de la nuit. N’ayez aucun rapport avec vos femmes, durant votre retraite spirituelle dans les mosquées. Telles sont les limites que Dieu vous impose, ne les transgressez pas. C’est ainsi que Dieu explique clairement Ses versets aux hommes afin qu’ils Le craignent.
2.187 . It is made lawful for you to go unto your wives on the night of the fast . They are raiment for you and ye are raiment for them . Allah is aware that ye were deceiving yourselves in this respect and He hath turned in mercy toward you and relieved you . So hold intercourse with them and seek that which Allah hath ordained for you , and eat and drink until the white thread becometh distinct to you from the black thread of the dawn . Then strictly observe the fast till nightfall and touch them not , but be at your devotions in the mosques . These are the limits imposed by Allah , so approach them not . Thus Allah expoundeth His revelations to mankind that they may ward off ( evil ) .

أُحِلَّ لَكُمْ لَيْلَةَ الصِّيَامِ الرَّفَثُ إِلَى نِسَآئِكُمْ هُنَّ لِبَاسٌ لَّكُمْ وَأَنتُمْ لِبَاسٌ لَّهُنَّ عَلِمَ اللّهُ أَنَّكُمْ كُنتُمْ تَخْتانُونَ أَنفُسَكُمْ فَتَابَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَعَفَا عَنكُمْ فَالآنَ بَاشِرُوهُنَّ وَابْتَغُواْ مَا كَتَبَ اللّهُ لَكُمْ وَكُلُواْ وَاشْرَبُواْ حَتَّى يَتَبَيَّنَ لَكُمُ الْخَيْطُ الأَبْيَضُ مِنَ الْخَيْطِ الأَسْوَدِ مِنَ الْفَجْرِ ثُمَّ أَتِمُّواْ الصِّيَامَ إِلَى الَّليْلِ وَلاَ تُبَاشِرُوهُنَّ وَأَنتُمْ عَاكِفُونَ فِي الْمَسَاجِدِ تِلْكَ حُدُودُ اللّهِ فَلاَ تَقْرَبُوهَا كَذَلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ اللّهُ آيَاتِهِ لِلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَّقُونَ
2.188. Wala ta/kuloo amwalakum baynakum bialbatili watudloo biha ila alhukkami lita/kuloo fareeqan min amwali alnnasi bial-ithmi waantum taAAlamoona
2.188. Ne vous dépouillez pas injustement les uns les autres de vos biens ! Ne les offrez pas non plus aux juges dans l’espoir de vous accaparer illégalement et en toute connaissance de cause d’une partie des biens appartenant à autrui !
2.188 . And eat not up your property among yourselves in vanity , nor seek by it to gain the hearing of the judges that ye may knowingly devour a portion of the property of others wrongfully .

وَلاَ تَأْكُلُواْ أَمْوَالَكُم بَيْنَكُم بِالْبَاطِلِ وَتُدْلُواْ بِهَا إِلَى الْحُكَّامِ لِتَأْكُلُواْ فَرِيقاً مِّنْ أَمْوَالِ النَّاسِ بِالإِثْمِ وَأَنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ
2.189. Yas-aloonaka AAani al-ahillati qul hiya mawaqeetu lilnnasi waalhajji walaysa albirru bi-an ta/too albuyoota min thuhooriha walakinna albirra mani ittaqa wa/too albuyoota min abwabiha waittaqoo Allaha laAAallakum tuflihoona
2.189. On t’interroge sur les nouvelles lunes. Dis-leur : «Ce sont des moyens pour les hommes de mesurer le temps et de déterminer l’époque du pèlerinage.» La piété ne consiste nullement à s’introduire dans les maisons par la porte de derrière. La vraie piété est dans la crainte révérencielle du Seigneur. C’est donc par les portes habituelles que vous devez entrer dans vos demeures, et c’est également Dieu que vous devez craindre, si vous tenez à réussir.
2.189 . They ask thee , ( O Muhammad ) , of new moons . Say : They are fixed seasons for mankind and for the pilgrimage . It is not righteousness that ye go to houses by the backs thereof ( as do the idolaters at certain seasons ) , but the righteous man is he who wardeth off ( evil ) . So go to houses by the gates thereof , and observe your duty to Allah , that ye may be successful

يَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ الأهِلَّةِ قُلْ هِيَ مَوَاقِيتُ لِلنَّاسِ وَالْحَجِّ وَلَيْسَ الْبِرُّ بِأَنْ تَأْتُوْاْ الْبُيُوتَ مِن ظُهُورِهَا وَلَـكِنَّ الْبِرَّ مَنِ اتَّقَى وَأْتُواْ الْبُيُوتَ مِنْ أَبْوَابِهَا وَاتَّقُواْ اللّهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ
2.190. Waqatiloo fee sabeeli Allahi allatheena yuqatiloonakum wala taAAtadoo inna Allaha la yuhibbu almuAAtadeena
2.190. Combattez dans la Voie de Dieu ceux qui vous combattent, sans jamais outrepasser les limites permises, car Dieu n’aime pas ceux qui les transgressent.
2.190 . Fight in the way of Allah against those who fight against you , but begin not hostilities . Lo! Allah loveth not , aggressors .

وَقَاتِلُواْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللّهِ الَّذِينَ يُقَاتِلُونَكُمْ وَلاَ تَعْتَدُواْ إِنَّ اللّهَ لاَ يُحِبِّ الْمُعْتَدِينَ
2.191. Waoqtuloohum haythu thaqiftumoohum waakhrijoohum min haythu akhrajookum waalfitnatu ashaddu mina alqatli wala tuqatiloohum AAinda almasjidi alharami hatta yuqatilookum feehi fa-in qatalookum faoqtuloohum kathalika jazao alkafireena
2.191. Tuez-les partout où vous les trouvez et chassez-les d’où ils vous ont chassés, car la subversion est pire que le meurtre. Ne les combattez pas, cependant, auprès de la Mosquée sacrée, à moins qu’ils ne vous y attaquent les premiers. Dans ce cas, n’hésitez pas à les tuer. Ce sera la juste récompense des infidèles.
2.191 . And slay them wherever ye find them , and drive them out of the places whence they drove you out , for persecution is worse than slaughter . And fight not with them at the Inviolable Place of Worship until they first attack you there , but if they attack you ( there ) then slay them . Such is the reward of disbelievers .

وَاقْتُلُوهُمْ حَيْثُ ثَقِفْتُمُوهُمْ وَأَخْرِجُوهُم مِّنْ حَيْثُ أَخْرَجُوكُمْ وَالْفِتْنَةُ أَشَدُّ مِنَ الْقَتْلِ وَلاَ تُقَاتِلُوهُمْ عِندَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ حَتَّى يُقَاتِلُوكُمْ فِيهِ فَإِن قَاتَلُوكُمْ فَاقْتُلُوهُمْ كَذَلِكَ جَزَاء الْكَافِرِينَ
2.192. Fa-ini intahaw fa-inna Allaha ghafoorun raheemun
2.192. S’ils cessent de vous attaquer, sachez que Dieu est Clément et Miséricordieux.
2.192 . But if they desist , then lo! Allah is Forgiving , Merciful .

فَإِنِ انتَهَوْاْ فَإِنَّ اللّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
2.193. Waqatiloohum hatta la takoona fitnatun wayakoona alddeenu lillahi fa-ini intahaw fala AAudwana illa AAala alththalimeena
2.193. Combattez-les sans répit jusqu’à ce qu’il n’y ait plus de subversion et que le culte soit rendu uniquement à Dieu. S’ils cessent le combat, ne poursuivez les hostilités que contre les injustes récalcitrants.
2.193 . And fight them until persecution is no more , and religion is for Allah . But if they desist , then let there be no hostility except against wrongdoers .

وَقَاتِلُوهُمْ حَتَّى لاَ تَكُونَ فِتْنَةٌ وَيَكُونَ الدِّينُ لِلّهِ فَإِنِ انتَهَواْ فَلاَ عُدْوَانَ إِلاَّ عَلَى الظَّالِمِينَ
2.194. Alshshahru alharamu bialshshahri alharami waalhurumatu qisasun famani iAAtada AAalaykum faiAAtadoo AAalayhi bimithli ma iAAtada AAalaykum waittaqoo Allaha waiAAlamoo anna Allaha maAAa almuttaqeena
2.194. S’ils respectent votre mois sacré, respectez le leur. Mais s’il y a violation de leur part, la loi du talion devra être appliquée. Quand quelqu’un vous agresse, usez de réciprocité en proportion du dommage causé. Craignez Dieu et sachez qu’Il est avec ceux qui Le craignent.
2.194 . The forbidden month for the forbidden month , and forbidden things in retaliation . And one who attacketh you , attack him like manner as he attacked you . Observe your duty to Allah , and know that Allah is with those who ward off ( evil ) .

الشَّهْرُ الْحَرَامُ بِالشَّهْرِ الْحَرَامِ وَالْحُرُمَاتُ قِصَاصٌ فَمَنِ اعْتَدَى عَلَيْكُمْ فَاعْتَدُواْ عَلَيْهِ بِمِثْلِ مَا اعْتَدَى عَلَيْكُمْ وَاتَّقُواْ اللّهَ وَاعْلَمُواْ أَنَّ اللّهَ مَعَ الْمُتَّقِينَ
2.195. Waanfiqoo fee sabeeli Allahi wala tulqoo bi-aydeekum ila alttahlukati waahsinoo inna Allaha yuhibbu almuhsineena
2.195. Faites des largesses pour soutenir la Cause de Dieu ! Ne vous exposez pas, de votre propre initiative, à la perdition , mais agissez de la manière la plus bienfaisante et judicieuse, Dieu aime les gens bons et judicieux.
2.195 . Spend your wealth for the cause of Allah , and be not cast by your own hands to ruin ; and do good . Lo! Allah loveth the beneficent

وَأَنفِقُواْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللّهِ وَلاَ تُلْقُواْ بِأَيْدِيكُمْ إِلَى التَّهْلُكَةِ وَأَحْسِنُوَاْ إِنَّ اللّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُحْسِنِينَ
2.196. Waatimmoo alhajja waalAAumrata lillahi fa-in ohsirtum fama istaysara mina alhadyi wala tahliqoo ruoosakum hatta yablugha alhadyu mahillahu faman kana minkum mareedan aw bihi athan min ra/sihi fafidyatun min siyamin aw sadaqatin aw nusukin fa-itha amintum faman tamattaAAa bialAAumrati ila alhajji fama istaysara mina alhadyi faman lam yajid fasiyamu thalathati ayyamin fee alhajji wasabAAatin itha rajaAAtum tilka AAasharatun kamilatun thalika liman lam yakun ahluhu hadiree almasjidi alharami waittaqoo Allaha waiAAlamoo anna Allaha shadeedu alAAiqabi
2.196. Accomplissez, pour Dieu, le pèlerinage et la `umra. En cas d’empêchement, faites en compensation une offrande selon vos moyens. Mais abstenez-vous de vous raser la tête tant que l’offrande n’est pas parvenue à son lieu de destination. Celui d’entre vous qui, malade ou atteint d’une affection à la tête, était obligé de se raser sera tenu de se racheter par un jeûne, une aumône ou un sacrifice. Une fois la sécurité rétablie, celui qui aura profité de son séjour pour effectuer la `umra, en attendant la période du pèlerinage, devra faire une offrande selon ses moyens. Mais s’il n’en a pas, il devra jeûner trois jours pendant le pèlerinage et sept jours une fois rentré chez lui, soit dix jours au total, et cela incombe uniquement à celui dont la famille ne réside pas près de la Mosquée sacrée. Craignez donc Dieu et sachez que Dieu est Implacable quand Il sévit.
2.196 . Perform the pilgrimage and the visit ( to Mecca ) for Allah . And if ye are prevented , then send such gifts as can be obtained with ease , and shave not your heads until the gifts have reached their destination . And whoever among you is sick or hath an ailment of the head must pay a ransom of fasting or alms giving or offering . And if ye are in safety , then whosoever contenteth himself with the Visit for the Pilgrimage ( shall give ) such gifts as can be had with ease . And whosoever cannot find ( such gifts , then a fast of three days while on the pilgrimage , and of seven when ye have returned ; that is , ten in all . That is for him whose folk are not present at the Inviolable Place of Worship . Observe your duty to Allah , and know that Allah is severe in punishment .

وَأَتِمُّواْ الْحَجَّ وَالْعُمْرَةَ لِلّهِ فَإِنْ أُحْصِرْتُمْ فَمَا اسْتَيْسَرَ مِنَ الْهَدْيِ وَلاَ تَحْلِقُواْ رُؤُوسَكُمْ حَتَّى يَبْلُغَ الْهَدْيُ مَحِلَّهُ فَمَن كَانَ مِنكُم مَّرِيضاً أَوْ بِهِ أَذًى مِّن رَّأْسِهِ فَفِدْيَةٌ مِّن صِيَامٍ أَوْ صَدَقَةٍ أَوْ نُسُكٍ فَإِذَا أَمِنتُمْ فَمَن تَمَتَّعَ بِالْعُمْرَةِ إِلَى الْحَجِّ فَمَا اسْتَيْسَرَ مِنَ الْهَدْيِ فَمَن لَّمْ يَجِدْ فَصِيَامُ ثَلاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ فِي الْحَجِّ وَسَبْعَةٍ إِذَا رَجَعْتُمْ تِلْكَ عَشَرَةٌ كَامِلَةٌ ذَلِكَ لِمَن لَّمْ يَكُنْ أَهْلُهُ حَاضِرِي الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ وَاتَّقُواْ اللّهَ وَاعْلَمُواْ أَنَّ اللّهَ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ
2.197. Alhajju ashhurun maAAloomatun faman farada feehinna alhajja fala rafatha wala fusooqa wala jidala fee alhajji wama tafAAaloo min khayrin yaAAlamhu Allahu watazawwadoo fa-inna khayra alzzadi alttaqwa waittaqooni ya olee al-albabi
2.197. Le pèlerinage s’effectue en des mois déterminés. Quiconque s’y engage devra s’interdire tout rapport sexuel, tout libertinage et toute dispute durant la période du pèlerinage. Quelque bien que vous fassiez, Dieu en a toujours connaissance. Prenez des provisions de route, mais votre meilleur viatique sera la crainte révérencielle du Seigneur. Craignez-Moi, hommes doués d’intelligence !
2.197 . The pilgrimage is ( in ) the well known months , and whoever is minded to perform the pilgrimage therein ( let him remember that ) there is ( to be ) no lewdness nor abuse nor angry conversation on the pilgrimage . And whatsoever good ye do Allah knoweth it . So make provision for yourselves ( here after ) ; for the best provision is to ward off evil . Therefore keep your duty unto Me , O men of understanding .

الْحَجُّ أَشْهُرٌ مَّعْلُومَاتٌ فَمَن فَرَضَ فِيهِنَّ الْحَجَّ فَلاَ رَفَثَ وَلاَ فُسُوقَ وَلاَ جِدَالَ فِي الْحَجِّ وَمَا تَفْعَلُواْ مِنْ خَيْرٍ يَعْلَمْهُ اللّهُ وَتَزَوَّدُواْ فَإِنَّ خَيْرَ الزَّادِ التَّقْوَى وَاتَّقُونِ يَا أُوْلِي الأَلْبَابِ
2.198. Laysa AAalaykum junahun an tabtaghoo fadlan min rabbikum fa-itha afadtum min AAarafatin faothkuroo Allaha AAinda almashAAari alharami waothkuroohu kama hadakum wa-in kuntum min qablihi lamina alddalleena
2.198. Il n’est pas interdit, pendant le pèlerinage, de rechercher quelques faveurs de votre Seigneur par la pratique du négoce. Lorsque vous déferlez de Arafa, rappelez le Nom de Dieu auprès du Repère sacré et glorifiez-Le pour vous avoir mis sur la bonne voie, alors qu’auparavant vous étiez du nombre des égarés !
2.198 . It is no sin for you that ye seek the bounty of your Lord ( by trading ) . But , when ye press on in the multitude from Arafat , remember Allah by the sacred monument . Remember Him as He hath guided you , although before ye were of those astray .

لَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ جُنَاحٌ أَن تَبْتَغُواْ فَضْلاً مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ فَإِذَا أَفَضْتُم مِّنْ عَرَفَاتٍ فَاذْكُرُواْ اللّهَ عِندَ الْمَشْعَرِ الْحَرَامِ وَاذْكُرُوهُ كَمَا هَدَاكُمْ وَإِن كُنتُم مِّن قَبْلِهِ لَمِنَ الضَّآلِّينَ
2.199. Thumma afeedoo min haythu afada alnnasu waistaghfiroo Allaha inna Allaha ghafoorun raheemun
2.199. Après quoi, déferlez par où s’effectuent les processions , et demandez pardon à Dieu, car Dieu est Clément et Miséricordieux.
2.199 . Then hasten onward from the place whence the multitude hasteneth onward , and ask forgiveness of Allah . Lo! Allah is Forgiving , Merciful .

ثُمَّ أَفِيضُواْ مِنْ حَيْثُ أَفَاضَ النَّاسُ وَاسْتَغْفِرُواْ اللّهَ إِنَّ اللّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
2.200. Fa-itha qadaytum manasikakum faothkuroo Allaha kathikrikum abaakum aw ashadda thikran famina alnnasi man yaqoolu rabbana atina fee alddunya wama lahu fee al-akhirati min khalaqin
2.200. Une fois ces rites terminés, invoquez Dieu comme vous invoquez d’habitude vos pères , mais avec une ferveur plus vive encore. Mais il est certaines personnes qui disent seulement : «Seigneur ! Accorde-nous une belle part dans ce monde !» Ceux-là n’auront aucune part dans la vie future.
2.200 . And when ye have completed your devotions , then remember Allah as ye remember your fathers or with a more lively remembrance . But of mankind is he who saith : "our Lord! Give unto us in the world , " and he hath no portion in the Hereafter .
